Wow, it's been awhile since I've posted an update!
So much has happened over the last year! We got our accessible van in November 2015. Henry finally got his power chair in December 2015. And, the past 3 months of this year, we have been remodeling our bathroom that we use for Henry, aka: Henry's Bathroom.
My hubby and I started the demo on the bathroom and discovered so many hidden issues. Black mold, rotted exterior wall and so on. So, we decided to start a GoFundMe account and it went viral at my hubbies work place. We raised a lot of money, well over our goal of $1,500, an awesome interior designer volunteered to design our bathroom and a construction company volunteered to do the remodel. Tile was donated, plumbing fixtures were hugely discounted, a new mirror is being donated along with a new custom made shower curtain and rod. We have truly been blessed with all kindness and love! The bathroom should be done soon, and Henry can finally take a normal bath and/or shower! As soon as the bathroom is 100% complete, CCS will be able to order the shower chair we need for Henry along with the Hoyer Lift we desperately need.
Once the bathroom is done, we will be moving on to other parts of the house to make it more sufficient for Henry to get around without worrying about bumping into walls and squeezing through doors and the hall way. Plus, Lucy's bathroom needs major help, and since we all have had to share her bathroom these past few months, we are going to tackle it and make it beautiful for her!
